Dart announced today.
At approximately 11:42 p.m. on Oct. 6, Sheriff’s Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival, officers found a 35-year-old male laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for his injuries and was later discharged.

Later that day, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved felony charges of Attempt First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm.
Mitchell appeared for his initial court hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Markham Courthouse where he was ordered detained at the Cook County Jail until his next scheduled court date on March 20.
