Traditionally held on the last Saturday of July on Chicago’s South Side, GhanaFest® has been a summer staple for 36 years, drawing attendees from across the U.S. and even internationally. The event features traditional Ghanaian music, food, dance, and fashion, and serves as a powerful expression of cultural pride and community solidarity.
Organizers cite “unforeseen circumstances” that have significantly impacted budgeting and pricing as the primary reasons behind the difficult decision.
