Marter Campaign Announces Endorsement from Michele Bachmann (Oswego, IL) – “I’m extremely proud and honored to have an endorsement from former Congresswoman, Michele Bachmann, Her strong stand for Constitutional government, lower taxes, education reform and her support of life, faith and family, match what my campaign is all about. Her bold leadership continues to inspire Americans and I admire her work she’s doing today, preparing future leaders,” said Marter.

Bachmann won four congressional races, serving in Congress from 2007 to 2015. She ran for President in 2012. She was the founder of the Tea Party Caucus and she served on the Financial Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She continues to be an influential advocate for life, freedom, smaller government and election integrity.

“I am proud of all the issues James supports. We need a member of Congress from this district who stands in support of these issues,” Bachmann said.

This endorsement from Michele Bachmann is yet another demonstration of Marter’s strong support among “battle hardened experts” and those on the “common sense” side of the issues. “I have endorsements from people with actual, hands-on experience and expertise. Their voices need to be heard from by our government. I’ll be bringing their expertise with me into Congress on issues like human trafficking, foreign and domestic threats, law enforcement challenges, radical teachings in our schools, the infringement on our rights in the areas of religious freedom, speech and health care decisions and addressing our flawed immigration system and the over taxation of workers and families. There is so much that needs to be done and I’m not heading to Congress to relax. I’m going to work to bring representation back to Illinois and sanity back to Congress.”

James Marter is running in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District, against Democrat Lauren Underwood.
