A cross-departmental District team began plotting summer offerings last December and the Board of Education later set aside $30 million to support efforts.

This award is being presented to CPS for its leadership in establishing the Healthy CPS program, which aligns with the District's core value to serve the whole child so students are healthy, safe, engaged and academically challenged.

The District will continue to offer free, nutritionally-balanced meals at various locations across the District this summer, beginning Monday, June 27. #cps
