All area students (grades K-12) can travel CTA buses and trains for FREE, along with an accompanying adult, courtesy of this year’s sponsor Butcher Boy Cooking Oils. 

Starting Thursday, July 28 and running through Sunday, July 31, Metra will provide extra trains, expand passenger capacity and adjust schedules on most lines to accommodate the increase in ridership anticipated during the festival.

Customers can save more on unlimited rides by purchasing either the 1-Day ($5) or the 3-Day ($15) CTA passes.

"Though we are proud to have one of the best transit systems in the country, that reputation and everything we're doing to keep it will mean nothing if CTA customers don't feel safe taking public transportation," said Mayor Lightfoot.
