Now armed with a $150,000 grant approved by the Illinois General Assembly in early January for Dolton 149, Tillman wants the district to use a portion of that funding to relaunch the annual summit. #district149
“Despite a little rain, the return of Dolton 149’s annual back-to-school carnival was an enormous success providing a fun-filled day for students, and it represented another step toward ‘back to normal’ after the pandemic,” said Dolton 149 Superintendent Dr. Maureen White.
Dr. White, who earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at National-Louis University in Chicago, plans to address not only student achievement but also adult achievement.
