“The Village Trustees and I and our employees continue to work to resolve these water issues,” Roberts said. “We ask for prayers and patience as we work through these water issues.”

“We need some help in our community,” Roberts said. “These breaks keep happening and we can’t get anywhere to fix these problems as long the breaks keep occurring. I am hopeful, we can get the Village of Dixmoor declared a disaster area and we get some emergency funding to address these issues.” #Dixmoor

“There is water service throughout the entire village,” Roberts said.

This latest series of water main repairs come after dozens other breaks over the past year which have left residents and students without water.

“I appreciate the help we are getting from Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle,” Roberts said.

More updates to come.

“We are working around the clock to get this break fixed,” Roberts said. “I am also reaching out to Governor JB Pritzker as well as other state and county officials to expedite the help we need to get a permanent resolution..."

There is a boil water order in effect until further notice

Food and water are available at Village Hall, located at 170 W 145th St. in Dixmoor.
