Project H.O.O.D. Hosts Beam Signing Celebration for the Robert R. McCormick Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center (Chicago, IL) – January 10, 2025 – Project H.O.O.D. is thrilled to announce a milestone event in the construction of the Robert R. McCormick Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center. A Beam Signing Celebration will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at 6620 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL.
The event will begin with a special speaking portion at 10:00 AM, featuring remarks from Pastor Corey Brooks, founder and CEO of Project H.O.O.D., along with other community leaders.
Following the speaking program, attendees will have the opportunity to sign the final steel beam, symbolizing their support for the transformational project.
After the signing, the final steel beam will be hoisted into the air, a symbolic and literal step in the construction of this iconic facility that will serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the community. Pastor Brooks will also be available for media comments after the ceremony.
Pastor Brooks shared his thoughts on the event, stating:
