The issues of Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s unauthorized use of Municipal Police license plates, police equipment, etc., were referred to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office for possible prosecution.

“The public has a right to be secure in their dealings with public officials, especially when those public officials and employees are operating vehicles displaying Municipal Police license plates. Any question of the legitimacy of such vehicles and operators leads to public distrust of police. Misuse of Municipal Police license plates should never be tolerated."

“Despite a little rain, the return of Dolton 149’s annual back-to-school carnival was an enormous success providing a fun-filled day for students, and it represented another step toward ‘back to normal’ after the pandemic,” said Dolton 149 Superintendent Dr. Maureen White.

Dr. White, who earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at National-Louis University in Chicago, plans to address not only student achievement but also adult achievement.

A Cook County Circuit Court Judge on Wednesday, June 15, invalidated a politically inspired ballot referendum to recall the Mayor of the Village of Dolton, scoring a significant win for democracy at the local level, according to Mayor Tiffany Henyard. #TiffanyHenyard

For now, both the Referendum for Recall of Mayoral Position of the Village of Dolton, and the Referendum to Recall Mayor Tiffany Henyard will remain on the ballot, subject to the outcome of the underlying court case filed by Mayor Henyard.

Some of the concerns included updating a guide that focuses on the history of the village, receiving information to share with residents, and animal control of deer. #dolton
