When a child goes missing, the agency told The Center Square it reports the matter to local law enforcement, the caseworker provides as much identifying information as possible, to include finger prints if available, and they contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, among other steps. #children

The medals belonged to Army Pvt. Stephen J. Grabowski, a Chicago native who was wounded in combat during the final days of the war in Italy. #medals

The measure eliminates waiting periods for filing missing persons reports and requires police to immediately enter cases into the state’s Law Enforcement Agencies Data System (LEADS). #missingpersons

The missing person, who has diabetes and early onset dementia, was known to  frequently walk in the forest preserve, which is located near his home. 

There is evidence to suggest she may have been in the vicinity of Spears Woods later that same day near the corner of West 87th Street and South LaGrange Road in Palos Township. #missing

Patrael Williams was last seen in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue in Ford Heights on Monday, Dec. 9. #missing
