ISP Director Brendan F. Kelly provided an update on placement of license plate cameras along nearby interstates to catch criminals involved in shootings. There also was discussion of efforts by local task forces on major crimes and carjacking, support needed for local police and anti-violence programs, and discussion about enforcement, funding and potential legislative solutions in Springfield. #isp

The Ten Shared Principles were first created by the Illinois NAACP and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police in 2018 to improve policing throughout the state and ensure all individuals are treated with dignity and respect by law enforcement.

Raoul’s indictment alleges that in 2016, Brown submitted documents to the CHA that omitted her ownership interest in order to obtain CHA benefits to which she was not entitled. #CHA

The initial call reported 5 suspects broke into a home, stole a cell phone and battered an elderly male who resided there. The homeowner was transported to Morris Hospital with a non-life threatening head injury.

Investigators also recovered from the residence gun parts, including ghost gun parts, a drill press, molds, and other tools used to manufacture firearms. 

The Cook County Gun Violence Prevention & Reduction Grants will fund a variety of violence prevention strategies including mental health and employment services, street outreach and case management as well as other services which support residents at-risk of being involved in community violence.
