Water Main Break Disrupts Service for Much of Dixmoor (Dixmoor, IL) – A water main break along 139th Street is affecting more than half of the Dixmoor community, village officials said Sunday.
Village President Fitzgerald Roberts said the break is located on 139th Street between Dixie Highway and Thornton Road and involves an 8-inch main that supplies a significant portion of the village’s water.

Public works crews are working to repair the break, though no timeline for restoration has been announced. Village officials said additional updates will be provided as work continues.
