Stratton Wins Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate in Illinois (Chicago, IL) – Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton secured victory in Illinois’ Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, her campaign announced Tuesday, positioning her as the party’s nominee heading into the general election this November.

In a statement following the win, Stratton’s campaign thanked voters across the state and framed the outcome as a signal of support for her policy agenda and leadership style.

“Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton is grateful to every voter in Illinois who made their voice heard in today’s election,” said campaign spokesperson Allison Janowski. “Her victory has shown that Illinois is ready for bold leadership that will stand up to Donald Trump and always put working people at the forefront.”

Stratton, who currently serves as Illinois’ lieutenant governor, is expected to center her general election campaign on economic issues and what her campaign describes as protecting democratic institutions.

“There aren’t a lot of voices in Washington like Juliana’s, but there should be,” Janowski said, adding that Stratton will continue making her case to voters in the months leading up to November.

The race for the U.S. Senate seat is expected to draw significant attention as the general election campaign begins in earnest.
