Annette Parker Announces Re-Election Bid For Will County Clerk (Crest Hill, IL) – Annette Parker today announced her intention to seek re-election as Will County Clerk in the 2026 primary election aiming to continue her service and leadership through 2030. Annette Parker kicked off her re-election campaign by distributing nomination petitions to scores of  family, friends and volunteers.  

Parker was elected in November 2024 in an abbreviated campaign prompted by the resignation of  former Will County Clerk Lauren Staley-Ferry. “It has been an honor to serve as Will County Clerk  since assuming office in December 2024. The voters agreed that my decades of experience in  government, politics, business and community affairs have provided me with the background to  successfully manage the responsibilities of the County Clerk. In the short time I have served as Will  County Clerk I have made great strides in improving the office and am proud of what our team has  achieved- modernizing equipment, improving customer service and protecting voting integrity across  the county,” Parker stated. “I’m excited to build on that progress and ensure that every resident can  count on a transparent, efficient and trustworthy clerk’s office.” 

Parker’s campaign priorities include: 

  1. Election Security & Integrity 

Ensure Will County’s elections remain secure and transparent, upgrading technology and training staff  for efficient ballot processing. 

  1. Election State Statutes  

Work with State Legislators to update and clarify election state statutes and codes.

  1. Customer-Focused Services 

Expand access to services like marriage licenses, passports, and vital records with extended hours,  multilingual support, and improved online systems. 

  1. Fiscal Responsibility 

Continue to manage the Clerk’s office budget efficiently and effectively.  

  1. Community Engagement 

Host regular open-office days, host public forums, and work with local election authorities and  municipalities to keep residents informed and involved. 

“Our work is far from done,” Parker emphasized. “I believe in serving every resident of Will County—and I’m  committed to ensuring our Clerk’s office remains reliable, efficient, and accessible. I humbly ask for the  opportunity to continue this service through 2030.”
