Rep. Adam Niemerg: Gov. Pritzker Embrace of Lawlessness Illogical and Immoral (Dieterich, IL) – State Representative Adam Niemerg is issuing a strong rebuke of Governor JB Pritzker’s recent defense of sanctuary state policies, asserting that such positions are emblematic of the disconnect between Illinois leadership and the needs of its citizens.

“Governor Pritzker seems to be doubling down on the chaos he and his party have helped create,” Niemerg stated. “While everyday Americans are calling for order, safety, and secure borders, Governor Pritzker continue to defend the indefensible, treating illegal immigration like a badge of honor.”

Gov. JB Pritzker joined Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and New York Governor Kathy Hochul in testifying before Congress today. Niemerg is questioning Pritzker’s so-called “humanitarian” policies, arguing that they have turned Illinois into a sanctuary for criminals.

“What’s compassionate about letting violent offenders walk free? What’s moral about enabling cartels and harboring traffickers?” he said. “This isn’t compassion; it’s cowardice. The American people see right through it.”

During recent testimony before Congress, Governor Pritzker publicly expressed his intention to defy White House Border Czar Tom Homan, stating, “I can also tell you that I will stand in the way of Tom Homan.”

“Pritzker and fellow Democrats have lost their moral compass,” he said. “They are openly siding with criminals and showing contempt for the rule of law, placing their woke ideology above the people they swore to serve.”

Niemerg noted that Pritzker’s views are not only immoral but also unpopular.

“Even legal immigrants are turning away from the Democratic Party,” he said. “According to CNN’s Harry Enten, foreign-born voters have swung a staggering 40 points toward the GOP on immigration since 2020. This isn’t just a trend; it’s a reckoning.”
