Rep. Haas Celebrates Library Grants in District 79 (Kankakee, IL) – Following the announcement of Library and Literacy Grants from the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) released the following statement:
“I am so pleased that District 79 will be receiving over $100,000 in Library and Literacy Grants,” said Rep. Haas. “These grants will be utilized to expand services offered at libraries, such as enhancing online catalogs, increasing accessibility access, and improving literacy across the state.”
Grants were awarded to the Bradley Public Library District, Kankakee Community College, and the Kankakee Public Library.
Rep. Haas concluded, “I want to thank the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office for facilitating these much-needed grants to libraries in our communities. I look forward to seeing how our libraries utilize this funding to ensure a brighter future for everyone.”
