U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly Endorses Kiana Belcher in Cook County Commissioner Race (Dolton, IL) – U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly has endorsed Kiana Belcher in the race for 5th District Cook County commissioner, adding momentum to Belcher’s campaign ahead of the March 17 election.
Kelly, who represents Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District and is also a candidate for U.S. Senate, said her support is based on Belcher’s leadership experience, community ties and focus on equity and accountability.
“I am proud to endorse Kiana Belcher for 5th District Cook County commissioner,” Kelly said in a statement. “She is a dedicated public servant, a trusted community advocate, and a proven leader who understands the real needs of our neighborhoods.”
Kelly said Belcher’s approach to governance reflects values important to families across the district and expressed confidence in her ability to lead with integrity.
Belcher has also received endorsements from a range of elected officials, labor organizations and community groups, including Will Davis, Jason House, former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, SEIU and the Chicago Growth Project, according to her campaign.
Belcher said Kelly’s endorsement was a significant boost as the campaign enters the final stretch before Election Day.
