“Don’t Touch Me Again!” Says Chamber President (Homewood, IL) – In videos obtained by The Southland Journal by an anonymous source, Southland Black Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Cornel Darden Jr. can be seen being confronted by a group of meeting attendees. Dr. Darden is heard yelling, “Don’t touch me again!” as the group continues to heckle him. He also yells that he, “Is not scared of white people.” The videos are below.

This conformation was at Thursday’s Homewood Village Council Zoning and Planning Commission Public Hearing, where project supporters and opposers went to voice their opinions on a proposed warehouse development slated to take over the Calumet Country Club property.
