Aguilar Secures More Than 40 Endorsements in Bid for Re-Election as 16th District Commissioner (Cook County, IL) – Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar has rolled out an updated list of endorsements as he seeks re-election to represent the county’s 16th District, touting support from more than 40 elected officials, labor unions and community organizations.

Aguilar said the breadth of backing reflects years of collaboration with local leaders and advocacy for working families across the western and southwestern suburbs that make up the district.

“I am honored and humbled to have the support of so many dedicated public servants and organizations who are committed to our community,” Aguilar said in a statement. “I have had the privilege of working with these incredible 16th District mayors, and as a former union organizer and life-long supporter of labor, I am so grateful to have the support of those who fight for working people.”

Among the county officials endorsing Aguilar are Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Clerk of the Circuit Court Mariyana Spyropoulos, and Commissioners John Daley, Tara Stamps, Bridget Degnen, Kevin Morrison, Donna Miller, Scott Britton, Bill Lowry, Kisha McCaskill, Stanley Moore, Maggie Trevor, Michael Scott Jr. and Bridget Gainer.

Preckwinkle praised Aguilar’s record on economic development and constituent services.

“I have seen firsthand Frank’s hard work to bring economic development to the 16th District and protect our communities,” Preckwinkle said. “I enthusiastically endorse Commissioner Aguilar to retain his seat on the County Board. He is always there for his residents and cares deeply about the district.”

Aguilar’s campaign said the coalition underscores his focus on delivering county funding and resources to municipalities and maintaining accessibility to residents throughout the district.
