Bally’s Chicago Casino Launches Anti-Human Trafficking Employee Training Program (Chicago, IL) – Bally’s Chicago Casino is taking an aggressive step toward fighting human trafficking by launching a comprehensive anti-human trafficking employee training program. In recognition of January being Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Bally’s Chicago paired the program launch with a “Give $5, Get $10” charitable contribution campaign benefitting the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), where customers received free play for donating to the local charity throughout the month.

The extensive training program educates employees in weekly sessions on how trafficking might be present in the surrounding community, trained team members on possible trafficking indicators they might encounter within the casino and empowered them to respond appropriately if they suspect trafficking activity is present. By raising awareness across all departments and encouraging all employees to actively help address the threat of human trafficking, Bally’s Chicago is committed to creating a culture of responsibility that helps tackle one of the world’s fastest-growing crimes.

“As part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we were pleased to launch our Chicago anti-human trafficking awareness program,” said Monica Scott, Bally’s Chicago Vice President of Community Engagement. “Knowing that just one person can make a big impact, team members will use the variety of tools in their role to ensure trafficking is not present in our property and Bally’s will continue to encourage a culture of compliance with our internal reporting policies. With Bally’s Chicago’s launch of the program, we believe that the progressive initiative will help fight human trafficking in each community we serve.”

The “Give $5, Get $10” charitable contribution campaign benefitted CAASE and was available to Bally Rewards members each Monday in January.  Players donated to receive free play based on Tier:

Bally’s Chicago Casino and customer donations generated a $5,000 contribution to directly support CAASE’s work to end all forms of sexual exploitation in Chicago.

“We are thankful that Bally’s Chicago Casino has taken it upon themselves to help fight the threat of human trafficking both in their facility and in the community,” said Saunté Harden-Tate, Community Engagement Coordinator at CAASE. “Their efforts to educate their employees on the signs of trafficking and their generous donation to our organization will both have a positive impact on our vision to see a world free of sexual exploitation and the prevention of sexual harm.”
