Dolton to Host “Season of Giving” Blood Drive Aimed at Saving Lives and Feeding Local Families (Dolton, IL) – The Village of Dolton is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves — and help their neighbors — during a community blood drive scheduled for Thursday, November 20th, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Held at the MW Spence Cook Grand Lodge at 14141 Doctor M.L.K. Jr. Drive, the “Season of Giving” blood drive is a partnership between the Community Blood Center (CBC), Trustee Kiana Belcher, and the MW Spence Cook Grand Lodge. The event’s back entrance will serve as the check-in location for donors.

Organizers say the drive serves a dual purpose: bolstering the region’s blood supply and supporting local families facing food insecurity. For every presenting donor, CBC will make a monetary contribution to the American Association of Single Parents to help stock its Free-N-Deed Market, which provides groceries to households in need.

“Together, we can save lives and feed our neighbors,” Trustee Belcher said. “This is what community is all about, coming together to care for one another in meaningful ways.”

Donors will receive a long-sleeved CBC “Do Good” t-shirt while supplies last. Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.

Residents can schedule an appointment by scanning the event QR code, visiting communityblood.org, or calling (800) 280-4102. Walk-ins will be accommodated as availability allows.

Village officials describe the event as part of an ongoing push to strengthen community wellness and bring people together for a meaningful cause during the holiday season.
