EMILY’s List Endorses Donna Miller in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District Race (Chicago, IL) – Support continues to build for Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller in her bid for Congress, as EMILY’s List announced its endorsement of the Democratic nominee in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District ahead of the Nov. 3, 2026 general election.
The national political action committee, which backs Democratic women who support abortion rights, cited Miller’s record on healthcare, cost reduction and advocacy for women and families as key factors in its decision.
“A mom, county commissioner, and healthcare advocate, Donna Miller has delivered real results for her community by fighting to lower costs for families, tackle health disparities, and protect reproductive rights,” said EMILY’s List President Jessica Mackler. “She has a proven track record of putting her constituents first, and she will do the same in Washington.”
Miller, who has emphasized issues such as maternal mortality and infant morbidity throughout her campaign, said she is honored to receive the endorsement and looks forward to working with the organization to expand access to reproductive healthcare.
Since securing the Democratic nomination, Miller has gained support from a range of national organizations and political leaders. Her endorsements include Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NewDem Action Fund, League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, and major labor unions such as the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Union and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
She has also received backing from prominent Democratic figures in Congress, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar of California, Vice Chair Ted Lieu of California, and U.S. Rep. Sara Jacobs of California.
Miller’s campaign continues to highlight her experience in local government and healthcare advocacy as she seeks to represent Illinois’ 2nd District in Washington.
