Former Chicago Bear to Host Illinois’ First Liberty Pastors Training Camp in Oak Brook (Oak Brook, IL) – Former Chicago Bears player and pastor Paul Blair will bring Liberty Pastors’ first-ever Illinois training camp to Oak Brook later this summer, offering pastors and faith leaders four days of instruction focused on applying a biblical worldview to contemporary cultural and political issues.
The Liberty Pastors Worldview Training Camp is scheduled for July 27-30 at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center, with registration now open.
According to organizers, the event is designed to help pastors and church leaders examine how biblical principles apply to a wide range of issues, including education, government, economics, national security, parenting, race relations and religious liberty.
“Parenting, race relations, how we teach sexuality, what we can learn from history, threats from lawfare to Marxism and more. These are issues that require a biblical worldview, along with wisdom and courage,” Blair said in a statement.
Blair, founder of Liberty Pastors, said the training camp aims to equip attendees with tools to engage cultural and public policy discussions through the lens of their faith.
The four-day event includes lodging, meals, conference sessions, speaker presentations and training materials. Organizers are encouraging pastors to attend with their spouses for a combination of education, fellowship and personal renewal.
The speaker lineup features several nationally known conservative and faith-based speakers, including:
- Rick Green, founder of Patriot Academy and co-host of The WallBuilders Show.
- Frank Gaffney, founder of the Center for Security Policy.
- K. Carl Smith, creator of the Content of Character Series.
- Dr. Rick Scarborough, founder and president of Recover America.
- Author and historian Bill Federer.
- Economist and broadcaster Kevin Freeman.
- Journalist and educator Alex Newman.
- Salt and Light Council founder Dran Reese.
- Citizens Defending Freedom founders Colby Wiltse and Steve Maxwell.
Additional speakers may be announced before the event, organizers said.
Located roughly 15 miles from both O’Hare and Midway airports, the Oak Brook venue offers lodging, dining, recreation and conference facilities for attendees traveling from around Illinois and beyond.
Liberty Pastors said the camp is intended to strengthen church leadership and encourage engagement on issues affecting communities, public institutions and religious organizations.
