Hazel Crest Mayor, Local Law Firm Team Up for Thanksgiving Turkey and Gift Card Giveaway (Elgin, IL) – Hazel Crest Mayor Sandra Alexander is inviting residents to Village Hall on Tuesday for a turkey and gift card giveaway designed to help families in need enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving.
“Everyone deserves a joyful holiday season, and we want to do our part to help families in need this Thanksgiving,” Alexander said. “By partnering with Vasselli Law, we aim to make this time of year a little brighter for our community.”
The effort is being supported by Vasselli Law, which is donating $5,000 in $50 gift cards for Hazel Crest residents. The event reflects the firm’s emphasis on community involvement, said attorney James Vasselli.
“When you find people who need your help, you help them. No matter what,” Vasselli said. “Doing the right thing isn’t about credit; it’s about responsibility.”
The giveaway will run Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the President’s Ballroom inside Village Hall, 3601 W. 183rd St. The distribution coincides with the Village’s annual Thanksgiving food giveaway. Proof of Hazel Crest residency is required, and gift cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
“These cards can be used online or in local stores,” Vasselli said. “We hope we can make the holidays a little brighter for families in need this Thanksgiving.”
The firm, which represents municipalities across Northern Illinois, says the initiative reflects its broader commitment to public service.
