She currently serves as President-Elect of the Kankakee, Iroquois, Ford Association of Realtors and Vice President of the Kankakee County Hispanic Partnership, in addition to holding roles on several community boards and committees.
“A Grand Marshal should represent the heart of our community, and Monica does exactly that,” said Alderman Lance E. Marczak, chair of the Christmas Parade Organizing Committee. “Her service, her advocacy, and her commitment to our city make her an outstanding choice. We are honored to have her lead this year’s parade.”
City officials are encouraging residents and visitors to line the streets downtown on Dec. 13 to celebrate the holiday season and recognize Pizano’s contributions to the community.
