Preston to Host Legislative Town Hall Feb. 7 in Chicago (Chicago, IL) – State Sen. Willie Preston will host a legislative town hall on Saturday, Feb. 7, inviting residents of Chicago’s Sweet 16th District to share their concerns and priorities for the upcoming legislative session.
The town hall will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at LEARN Hunter Perkins Elementary School, 1700 W. 83rd St. The event is open to the public, and no registration is required.
Preston, a Democrat who represents the district, said the meeting is intended to give constituents a direct voice in shaping his work in Springfield.
“I am excited to hear from community members and see what issues they care about the most,” Preston said in a statement. “This is an opportunity for residents in the Sweet 16th District to let me know what they would like me to focus on this year and give feedback on my legislative plan.”
During the town hall, Preston plans to outline his legislative agenda for the current session and provide information on programs affecting residents, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and property tax relief.
Constituents seeking additional information about the event can contact Preston’s office at (773) 912-6255.
