Representative Patrick Sheehan Launches Back-to-School Supply Drive for Southwest Suburban Students (Homer Glen, IL) – State Representative Patrick Sheehan is encouraging residents to support local students by donating school supplies through his office’s Back-to-School Supply Drive for the 2026-27 academic year.
The drive aims to provide children across the Southwest Suburbs with essential classroom materials before the new school year begins. Community members are invited to donate new, unused items such as notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, backpacks, calculators, rulers, and other school necessities.
“I’m proud to announce my office’s Back-to-School Supply Drive for the 2026-27 academic year. These resources will go directly to children in the Southwest Suburbs most in need so they can have the best possible educational experience,” Sheehan said. “For my office, supporting local education is not just a policy issue, it’s something that we can directly support through our service.”
Donations will be accepted through Aug. 31 at Sheehan’s district office during regular business hours. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All collected supplies will be distributed to students through two local nonprofit organizations: My Joyful Heart in Mokena and Together We Cope in Tinley Park.
