Rev. Jesse Jackson Stable as Family Shares Latest Health Update (Chicago, IL) – Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. remains in stable condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as he continues receiving care for a neurological disorder.

According to the update, Jackson spent the morning watching the final cut of an upcoming documentary about his life and activism, directed by filmmaker Shola Lynch. In the afternoon, Kneeland Youngblood, chairman and CEO of Pharos Capital Group, traveled to Chicago to visit the civil rights leader.

Jackson, 83, was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013. Earlier this year, doctors updated the diagnosis to progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare degenerative neurological condition that affects balance, movement, and eye control.
