Sheehan Launches Valentine’s Card Drive for Local Seniors (Lockport, IL) – As Valentine’s Day approaches, State Rep. Patrick Sheehan, R-Lockport, is asking residents to help spread cheer to area seniors through his annual “Valentines for Seniors” card drive.

The initiative runs from Jan. 9 through Feb. 9 and invites community members of all ages to create handmade or written Valentine’s Day cards with messages of encouragement and appreciation for seniors living in assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout the area. Sheehan said the effort is meant to remind older residents that they are valued and remembered.

Participants can drop off cards at Sheehan’s district office at 15746 S. Bell Road in Homer Glen. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All cards must be received by Feb. 9 to ensure delivery in time for Valentine’s Day.
