Two Arrested During Broadview ICE Facility Protests (Broadview, IL) – Two people were arrested Sunday morning, Oct. 19, during demonstrations outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Broadview, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Police.
Authorities identified the individuals as Derrick Wilson, 38, and Samuel J. Coffey, 19. Both were charged with disorderly conduct under ordinance 11-1003.
The arrests come amid ongoing protests at the facility, where demonstrators have gathered in recent weeks to call attention to federal immigration enforcement practices. Officials said updates on the situation will be released as needed throughout the week
