Destiny’s Child Tribute Tour to Conclude With Two Chicago Performances (Chicago, IL) – Chicago will serve as the final stop for Destiny’s Child: Iconic Reimagined Tribute, an immersive candlelit concert experience celebrating the music, legacy and influence of the iconic female group.
Following sold-out performances across the country, the Phase 2 expansion of the production will conclude with two performances on Aug. 29, 2026, at The Congress Hotel in Chicago.
Created by Destiny’s Child founder and music executive Mathew Knowles, CEO of Music World Entertainment, the live experience reimagines the group’s catalog through five-piece string arrangements, cinematic orchestration, audience participation and intimate storytelling.
The production features contemporary interpretations of Destiny’s Child hits while maintaining the group’s signature harmonies and themes of empowerment, confidence, independence and sisterhood.
The performance will feature a five-piece string quintet accompanied by upright bass, bringing a classical approach to songs spanning Destiny’s Child’s three decades of music.
The candlelit setting is designed to create an intimate, multisensory experience combining classical music with pop and R&B. The concert will include reimagined versions of songs including “Say My Name,” “Survivor,” “Independent Women,” “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Girl,” “Emotion” and “Lose My Breath,” along with surprise selections.
The Chicago performances will also coincide with the 25th anniversary of Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor” album, which featured themes of strength, independence and perseverance that have continued to resonate with audiences.
Knowles will make a special narrated appearance during the Chicago performances, sharing stories about Destiny’s Child’s rise to international success, the creation of its music and the group’s broader cultural influence.
“Chicago holds a special place and historical significance in Destiny’s Child’s success,” Knowles said. “The response from fans across the country has been tremendous, with sold-out performances nationwide and audiences embracing the music in such a powerful new way. We’re excited to bring this experience to fans who have come out religiously and to introduce their hits to a new generation of followers this summer in a beautiful setting.”
Destiny’s Child featured Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and became one of the best-selling female groups in music history. The group has been credited with influencing generations through songs centered on confidence, self-worth, empowerment and individuality.
The Chicago performances are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Aug. 29 at The Congress Hotel, located at 520 S. Michigan Ave.
VIP and Front Row ticket holders will receive access to an exclusive reception with Knowles and a downloadable copy of his bestselling book, Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story. Select seating areas will also offer a VIP Meet & Greet opportunity with Knowles.
For the 6:30 p.m. performance, the VIP reception will take place from 5:30 to 6 p.m. before the concert. For the 8:45 p.m. performance, the reception will follow the concert from 10 to 10:30 p.m.
