Disparti Law Group Files Lawsuit Against Brandon “Mr. Finance” Ellington, Access Capital Today on Behalf of 31 Investors (Chicago, IL) – A Chicago law firm has filed a lawsuit on behalf of 31 plaintiffs alleging they suffered significant financial losses after investing in programs promoted by Brandon “Mr. Finance” Ellington and Access Capital Today.
Disparti Law Group announced it filed the civil complaint in the Circuit Court of Cook County, alleging that Ellington and Access Capital Today promoted investment opportunities that promised returns of 40% to 60%, leading investors to entrust them with substantial sums of money.
According to the complaint, many of the plaintiffs relied on those alleged representations when deciding to invest and later experienced significant financial losses.
The lawsuit further alleges that several investors used retirement savings and other lifetime savings to participate in the investment programs. It also claims that some plaintiffs were encouraged to obtain loans from specific financial institutions to increase the amount they invested.
The complaint seeks monetary damages and other relief available under Illinois law, alleging the defendants engaged in conduct that caused substantial financial harm to individuals who believed they were investing in legitimate opportunities.
“Our clients placed their trust in promises of financial opportunity and security,” attorney Jamaal Buchanan of Disparti Law Group said in a statement. “They now deserve answers and an opportunity to recover what they lost. We are committed to pursuing justice on their behalf.”
According to the law firm, the 31 plaintiffs come from a variety of backgrounds but share similar allegations that they invested based on promises regarding investment opportunities and expected returns that did not materialize.
“Investment fraud cases can be especially devastating because they often involve retirement savings, family assets, and money that people have spent decades working to accumulate,” Buchanan said. “When that trust is broken, the consequences can be life-changing.”
Disparti Law Group said it is seeking to recover losses on behalf of its clients while pursuing accountability through the civil court system.
The case is pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
The allegations contained in the lawsuit are claims made by the plaintiffs. The defendants have the opportunity to respond in court, and the court has not made any findings regarding the merits of the allegations.
