Weather Grounds Bailey Campaign Fly-Around; Virtual Rally Planned (Louisville, IL) – Freezing weather across Illinois has forced Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey and his running mate Aaron Del Mar to cancel their planned statewide campaign fly-around on Monday.
The campaign announced that aircraft were grounded due to icy conditions, preventing Bailey, a former state senator, and Del Mar from traveling to multiple scheduled campaign stops across the state.
Instead, the campaign will host a virtual rally at 7 p.m. Monday Today from Springfield. The event will be streamed online and will feature U.S. Senate candidate Jeannie Evans as a guest.

The fly-around had been planned as a daylong tour aimed at energizing voters across several regions of Illinois as the campaign heads into the final stretch of the election season.
Bailey’s campaign also continues to promote his policy platform, known as the “Blueprint for Illinois.”
