Clintons Visit Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago, IL) – Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. on Monday, offering support to the longtime civil rights leader and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition as Jackson continues receiving care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

According to a statement from the Jackson family, the Clintons spent time with Jackson reflecting on Rainbow PUSH’s mission and expressing appreciation for his decades of work advancing civil rights, social justice and peace efforts both in the United States and abroad.

Jackson, 83, has been hospitalized in recent days but remains in stable condition, the family said. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013, and in April doctors updated the diagnosis to progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare neurological disorder that affects movement, balance and speech.

The family thanked Jackson’s medical team for its “dedicated” care and said they are grateful for the continued prayers and messages of support from the public.

Daily updates on Jackson’s condition will continue to be released, the family said.
