Bailey, Del Mar Plan Statewide Fly-Around to Rally Voters Ahead of Election (Louisville, IL) – Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey and his running mate Aaron Del Mar will travel across Illinois on Monday in a rapid series of campaign stops aimed at energizing voters ahead of the upcoming election.
The campaign announced Sunday that the pair will conduct a “statewide fly-around,” visiting multiple cities from southern Illinois to the Chicago suburbs throughout the day.
Bailey, a former Illinois state senator from Louisville, and Del Mar plan to begin the tour Monday morning in Marion before making additional stops in Rantoul, Bloomington, Galesburg, Poplar Grove and Palatine.
The first event is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois in Marion. From there, the campaign will head to the Rantoul National Aviation Center for an 11 a.m. stop.
In the afternoon, Bailey and Del Mar will appear in Bloomington at 2 p.m. at the Synergy Building, followed by a 4 p.m. event at the Galesburg Jet Air Hangar in Galesburg.
The final leg of the tour will bring the campaign to northern Illinois, beginning with a 5:30 p.m. stop at the Wings and Wheels Museum in Poplar Grove. The day will conclude with an 8 p.m. event at Durty Nellies in Palatine.
Campaign organizers say the fly-around is designed to help boost turnout and connect with voters across different regions of the state in a single day. Members of the press and public are invited to attend each stop.
More information about Bailey’s campaign platform, titled the “Blueprint for Illinois,” is available on the campaign’s website.
